WHAT DOES IT TELL ME?

Motor carriers of property authorities are a measure of active carriers in the for-hire trucking market. Carriers can have multiple pieces of equipment so it does not provide insight into the total amount of available capacity. Increasing amounts of authorities are indicative of a healthy/growing trucking market with capacity being added, while declining authorities indicate there is insufficient demand to support the available capacity.
